Help find a poster

Can anyone help Bill find this poster?

"When i was a
teen in high school, 1998, i had a poster hung above my bed. This poster meant the world to me because it filled me with joy and awe as i stared up at it as i spent some of the best moments of my life listening to the Cure. The poster was a huge black and white poster of Robert
with his head calked to the side and his hand making the sign of a gun pointed at his temple. I think the poster was called "finger suicide". Anyway, my moms home caught on fire and we lost pretty much everything. I'll be dammed if this poster to this day doesn't still stay in my mind as one of my greatest losses. I've tried all the poster sites i could and have to this day not been able to find anyone who even knows what the hell i'm talking about. All that to say this, if there is someone out there that has this poster or knows where i could buy it, i'd be forever indebted if i could buy it."

If you can help, please let Bill know: williamdboisvert@hotmail.com

Cleveland venue announced

Don't know if this is common knowledge or not, but the Cleveland venue is listed as the Wolstein Center at Cleveland State University in the new 4tour tour book.

San Jose show added?

So I'm looking at the new version of the 4tour tour book (thanks Boris), and in the listing of shows, this is now listed:

May 28th, 2008
HP Pavilion / San Jose, Ca.

I haven't seen any official announcement yet, so treat this as a rumor for now, despite it being listed in the official tour book.

Update: Here's a photo of the page.

Cure Tattoos

New tattoos added for Olivier and Luca, plus Steve's final arm work.

Promotional posters

Just posted a promotional poster for the Berlin show and a billboard for the Prague show.

(Thanks Boris and Martin)

Tickets for sale

Prague & Vienna (From Jennifer):
"I'm getting ready to head over to Prague (2/21) and Vienna (2/23) for The Cure shows, and I have one extra ticket for each show (my friend bailed last minute). Would you please post something on COF to see if there are any Cure fans who would like to purchase them? I noticed the Vienna show was sold out, so that may really help someone out. Both tickets are standing room in front of the stage, and I'd sell them for the ticket purchasing price. strangeday21@msn.com"

Prague (From Katerina):
"i can't make it to Prague so unfortunately i'm selling my ticket. it's standing and i don't really remember how much i paid for it in euros - it says on the ticket 790 Kc. i don't mind giving it for less..i just hate to see it go wasted so if anyone's interested contact me at katerina.smi@hotmail.com"

Cure Week on Virgin Radio France

From David Fargier:

"I've been contacted by Virgin Radio in France for an interview about my two books "After the rain... The Cure" and "100 Hundred Songs : The Dark Side Of The Mood ?" as they're planning a complete "The Cure week" between February the 18th and 24th.

I've also been interviewed about the German version "Nach dem Regen... The Cure" by a guy named Christian, who is working on a book which will talk about the 4 Tour and the new album."

Cure on Groove Armada comp.

From Gigwise:

The Cure, Roxy Music For New Groove Armada Compilation Out this March...

Classic songs by The Cure, Roxy Music and The Human League are all set to feature on a new Groove Armada compilation.

The band are the latest act to participate in the ‘Late Night Tales’ compilation series which in the past has been put together by Fatboy Slim and Air.

As with past efforts the CD takes a retrospective look through the groups music collection, mixing eclectic and new acts.

“There’s an overall theme to this CD. When we were teenagers we were making girlfriends and would-be girlfriends tapes,” Groove Armada said in a statement.

“Now it’s found a new focus because on the tour bus the upstairs lounge is always where the music’s at. It’s really brought back the idea of doing tapes for your mates.”

The album, which includes a cover of Gary Numan’s ‘Are Friends Electric?’, is released on March 14th.

More about the Late Night Tales series at Wikipedia.

(Thanks Pietro)

Temp. home for COF

With all of the problems Compuserve is currently having with their servers, and rumors that Cserve has abandoned all support for their web publishing, this will be the temporary home for COF updates. Sorry for all of the confusion and delays.
